Eligibility

ELIGIBILITY

AEPC is registered under section 8 of the Companies' Act 2013 and has two categories of Members: Member Exporter and Registered Exporter.
 
Any applicant, firm or society and/or Statutory Organization who is an exporter of garments whether manufacturer exporter or merchant exporter in the export and aims and objective of the council shall be eligible to be registered as a Registered Exporter of the Council.
 
As per the Model Bye-Laws issued by the Department of Commerce the following criteria are provided for the registration as Member Exporter (Ordinary Members) in an EPC’s:-
 
a. As per Bye-Laws the person or the entity represented by the person, must have been an Associate member(Registered Exporter) of the Council for at least two years; and 

b. The person or the entity represented by the person must have to its credit during the two immediately preceding financial year’s average exports in respect of the product of not less than the amount mentioned below: 
(i) Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSMEs): Rs. 25 Lakh - Rs. 1 Crore

          Micro Enterprises     -Rs. 25 Lakh
          Small Enterprises     -Rs. 50 lakh
          Medium Enterprises -Rs. 1 crore)

 (ii) Others: -Above Rs.1 Crore 

Registered Exporters, who fulfill the above conditions, may apply to the Council for conversion from Registered Exporter to Member Exporter, along with following documents.

1. Exporter’s turnover of readymade garments during the previous two Financial year 2024-25 & 2025-26 duly certified by a Chartered Accountant or from your banker (Performa of C.A/bank certificate as attached herewith)

2.  Self attested copy of the Udyam Certificate. 

3. Enclosed Performa of application form duly filled in all respects. 
4. If you have already paid the annual subscription for the year Financial year at DGFT portal www.dgft.gov.in as a registered exporter, please send a NEFT payment as per below table for conversion from registered exporter to member exporter:-

5. The application for Conversion from Registered Exporter to Member Exporter along with the above documents may be submitted either at Registered Office/Head Office of the Council or at concerned branches of the Council.
 
Apart from and without prejudice to any other rights and privileges conferred on members, either by the Memorandum of Association or by the Articles of Association of the Council or by the Act, the Members shall have the following rights and privileges:
The right to receive a copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Council within seven days of written request on payment of the sum of Rupees One for each copy.
The right to receive the notice of General Meeting of the Council.
The right to receive the Annual Accounts and reports of the Council.
The right to receive the publications of the Council on the terms and conditions fixed by the Committee.
The right to use all such facilities as may be made available from time to time on the conditions laid down by the Committee.
